Our Foundation
The Natasha Goulbourn Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing depression to light through the use of educational lectures, confidential crisis lines and referrals to partner psychologists. We see ourselves as a hub whose primary goal is information awareness on depression and how one can prevent, recognize or treat this mental illness.
In our efforts to launch a nationwide campaign of mental fitness and health, we have partnered with the World Health Organization (WHO), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Education (DepEd) and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) along with top schools such as University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University and Miriam College. We are currently working on partnering with several cities, civic organization and psychology clinics so that we can further our mission.

Dance of the Dolphins: Natasha’s Story
By: Katrina Goulbourn-Feist

Natasha was a lover of animals, a child of the beach and of the sea. She grew up frequenting the family beach house.
She always had a fascination for dolphins, as they are such beautiful, gentle and healing creatures, intelligent and sensitive, much like Natasha was herself.
A couple of weeks after Natasha passed away, in the midst of their pain, family and close friends returned to a charming and peaceful beach resort that they had been to with Natasha, seeking answers to soothe their broken hearts and in much need of rest.
On the bangka (boat) ride heading home across the narrow channel, each person was deep in thought, soothed by the sound of the boat’s motor and the rhythm of the waves. Her mother, Jean, was praying, asking Natasha for some kind of sign from her that she was all right.
As if from nowhere, a large pod of dolphins appeared, jumping in and out of the waves, dancing and playing alongside the bangka for minutes that seemed to last forever.
Some of the dolphins turned away to chase the flying fish on one side of the boat, but some stayed on a few more minutes gliding along ahead of the boat, then with a synchronized final leap, as if to say good-bye, disappearing into the blue.
It was a magical moment in which the family felt Natasha’s strong presence with them. Perhaps she was giving hope and reassurance, a beginning towards healing.
And so the dolphin became the logo for the Natasha Goulbourn Foundation, a message of well-being embodying hope and healing, in bringing depression to light.

The Dolphin Logo
Natasha always had a strong fascination and love for dolphins. Beautiful, gentle and healing creatures, intelligent and sensitive, much like Natasha was herself.
From ancient cultures to modern times, the dolphin symbolizes many things – life, love, gentleness, friendship, transcendence, harmony, intelligence, compassion and protection.
And so the dolphin became the logo for the Natasha Goulbourn Foundation, a message of well-being embodying hope and healing, in bringing depression to light.
